Trojan.Zbot est une forme de cheval de Troie ayant tendance à réduire les paramètres de sécurité et à déposer des fichiers sur l’ordinateur compromis. Trojan.Zbot est conçu pour ouvrir de grandes brèches dans la sécurité, par lesquelles des centaines de logiciels publicitaires et espions malveillants peuvent passer et infiltrer le système. En outre, Trojan.Zbot ouvre une porte dérobée qui permet au pirate attaquant à distance de prendre le contrôle total de l’ordinateur infecté.
Le pirate a alors pleinement accès aux données bancaires ou financières de l’utilisateur qui sont stockées sur la machine. Cela fait bien évidemment courir un grave danger aux informations personnelles de l’utilisateur et c’est une menace importante pour la sécurité du système. Le terme « cheval de Troie » fait allusion au fait que ce logiciel malveillant particulier qu’est Trojan.Zbot s’installe sous de faux prétextes et s’infiltre dans le PC sans que l’utilisateur ne l’autorise ni même le sache.
